2025 Award Winners

Phoenix Police Dept.
The Phoenix Police Department, serving over 1.6 million residents across 500 square miles, introduced the Flying Cross Power Flex uniform to address the city’s extreme desert climate and the demands of modern policing. Designed for more than 2,500 sworn officers, the Power Flex uniform uses 100% low-sheen knit polyester with engineered stretch fibers, providing maximum mobility, breathability, and rapid drying. At 6.0 oz., the fabric delivers a professional appearance while remaining lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and odor-resistant—without chemical treatments or PFAS. Following a 9-month wear test through Arizona’s harsh summers and cooler winters, the department praised the uniform’s comfort, versatility, and low maintenance. Officers report feeling cooler, more comfortable, and confident in this new class-wear approved option.

Lexington-Fayette Corrections
Galls partnered with the Lexington-Fayette Division of Community Corrections to create a uniform program balancing tradition, authority, and comfort. Serving 1,260 inmates with 323 sworn officers, the program includes Class A and B uniforms from Flying Cross, featuring updated rank insignia on sleeves or epaulets, LDCC collar brass, and new department patches with a Thin Gray Line. A distinctive Color Guard uniform reverses the Class A color scheme, combining silver accents, a gray Stratton hat, and cavalry-striped trousers, symbolizing ties to Kentucky’s sheriff heritage. Officers also wear cloth replicas of service ribbons on daily uniforms, enhancing recognition and morale. The department views these uniforms as a visible symbol of community trust and professional pride. The collaborative project took 27 months to ensure quality, function, and durability.

Henrico County Police
Henrico County Police, a 630+ officer agency in Virginia, transitioned to a new uniform program designed for a modern, professional image while improving officer comfort and functionality. Flying Cross developed a custom two-tone Hybrid Under-Vest Shirt—French Blue upper and Navy lower—paired with Power Flex all-way stretch hidden cargo pants. Class A uniforms feature a Justice Poly/Wool blend, combining durability with professional appearance. The result is a sharp, distinct uniform that enhances comfort, mobility, and morale while meeting the daily demands of law enforcement. Both officers and the community have embraced the new look.

Lit Safety Vest
The Lit Safety Vest delivers a groundbreaking approach to officer visibility and safety. Its patented non-overlay LED system illuminates the wearer's face and surroundings, enhancing visibility far beyond standard hi-vis vests. A touch dimmer switch allows light adjustment up to 594 lumens. Designed for duty, it includes a low-cut zipper for body cam access, dual mic tabs, and a storage bag that doubles as a vehicle headrest. Developed by an active officer after a line-of-duty tragedy, Lit Safety Vest is now deployed in police and fire departments for traffic and night operations—praised for improving visibility and officer safety in the field.

Power Flex
Power Flex is an innovative all-way stretch knit uniform fabric designed to meet the daily demands of law enforcement. Unlike traditional woven fabrics, Power Flex stretches in every direction, delivering unmatched mobility, breathability, and comfort. The fabric features moisture-wicking, anti-static, and wrinkle-resistant technology, reducing maintenance and keeping officers looking sharp. Independent lab testing confirmed performance, and over 500 uniforms were field-tested by departments nationwide. Officers praised the uniform for its comfort, breathability, and durability—especially in harsh environments like Arizona’s extreme heat. Power Flex blends Class A appearance with Class B comfort, setting a new standard for functional police uniforms.
